Idea: Optical Revolution

Summary:
In the near future, the use of optical powers are marketed out to the general public as freely as one would sell soda. All that it takes is one operation, and one is given the ability to change the way that they see things forever.

By removing one eye, and replacing it with a series of mechanical wires and computer chips that connect to the brain, one can form a Socket. The stolen eye can be substituted with Monocles, a sort of artificial eye. The pupil of the Monocle consists of a gem; which produces a certain optical power.

There are different types of Monocles:

  • - Green - Night vision. Pretty straight forward. Also comes with heat sensor
  • - White- X-ray. Cannot penetrate walls thicker than 12”. Or steel.
  • - Red- Lasers! The larger the gem, the hotter the stream. Lowest temp is around 3000*F (option of lightning with certain models) (Ice vision if messed with a bunch)
  • - Blue- Enhanced vision. Maximum range for standard Monocles is 1 mile.
  • - Orange- Life flow. Able to track the blood flow and heartbeat of any living being. If no blood is present, then the Monocle will track the movement of the cells themselves. Can identify poisons and other in-body aliens. (required for nurses and doctors) (Can be used to tell if someone is lying)
  • - Yellow- Technology. This monocle is used by thieves and government peoples. Allows one to look over codes and bypass any password. Not released to the general public, but some were leaked anyway. Can short-circuit other Monocles, but at the risk of the victim dying.
  • - Purple- Copy/Predictability. Records an opponent’s movements and allows the user to predict/figure out how to copy the next move or two.
  • - Black- normal/ no powers included.
Because the Sockets are linked directly to the brain, it damages the cells. The longer a Monocle is used, the closer to death its owner is. This is why the use of two Monocles at once is against the law; death is sped up to the point where the brain is fried almost instantly. Thing is, civilians are not told this, so that they would have no fear when purchasing the Monocles. So, of course, this becomes a bit of an issue for a few people that do know the risks.

Gena was the very first person to use these ocular powers; in fact, it was because of him that scientists were able to invent such a complex thing like the Monocles. The boy was found during an expedition to find a sort of medicine that could be used to improve ocular health, and was immediately taken in for experimentation.

Instead of normal eyes, the child had dual crystals that resembled the eye of a fly. Each face of the intricately cut gems was a different color. And, as the experiments dragged on, it was discovered that each color produced a different ability. The scientists instantly returned to the boy's homeland to see if they could find similar crystals in the ground. Their hunch was correct, and they began manufacturing Monocles.

Gena escaped the lab, and found out what the lab geeks had been doing with the knowledge of his unusual ability. So, with the help of two friends, he set out to stop the production of Sockets and Monocles; and keep innocent customers from dying way earlier than a normal human would.

Characters:
Name: Gena
Age: 16
Physical Appearance: Multicolored gems for eyes-he usually wears sunglasses or something similar to hide the sight from others. Longish white-blonde hair and a pale complexion. He has numerous scars lining his skin because of the experiments conducted on him.
Personality: Quiet and polite; pretty insecure when it comes to the topic of his eyes. Gena doesn't like being different than the rest of the human race, yet he tries to be as human as he possibly can. Awkward and unsure of his abilities, but is loyal to his friends and would do anything to keep them safe.
Quote: "It's amazing what the human race will go through just to prove that they are the superior species."

Name: Sally (Sal)
Age: 14
Physical Appearance: Milky blue eyes; which are kind of a dead give away that she's completely blind. Sal is one of the few humans who had not gotten a Socket installed in her eye. The technology is completely useless to her; seeing as though the lab geeks hadn't come up with a way to cure blindness with the technology. She has long dark brown hair and tan skin. The girl is obsessed with denim, and always wears at least one clothing item made from the fabric. And glasses? Pfft, forget those! If people are creeped out by her eyes, then that's their problem.
Personality: Sal makes a job out of embarrassing her friends and making sarcastic comments 24/7. She often jokes about her own blindness, since no one else really will. "Serious" isn't in her vocabulary, and she can't stand the quiet. While the girl is a good fighter, she is more likely to take down an enemy by annoying them to death than to actually beat them up. Also, she teases Gena non-stop about his "girly name."
Quote: "Well if I don't make fun of myself, then who will? I mean, really, get a sense of humor! I'm dying here because you're so boring!"

Name: Paxton
Age: 16
Physical Appearance: Golden brown eyes and short, curly light brown hair. A full head taller than Sal, and only a few inches taller than Gena. Pale, but not nearly as much as Gena. He has a Socket installed in his left eye, and uses the Monocles often. Because he messes around and experiments with the Monocles almost daily, he has scars all over his body from "failed experiments." His hands are heavily calloused as well; and there appears to be at least one grease stain or burnt hole in every piece of clothing.
Personality: Paxton is smart and crafty. He is a really freaking good liar too. The boy absolutely loves to work with machines, and will often try to "improve" the Monocles in his own way. (So basically he's the idiot who turned the Red Crystal Monocle into an epic freeze-ray). While he is normally patient and calculating, Pax is easily annoyed and distracted by the loud-mouthed Sal. He often yells at her, which only brings forth more puns and sarcasm. Not a very good team-player, but will help out if he benefits from it.
Quote: "Selfless acts are never truly selfless. There is a way to benefit from everything. People only call it "selfless" because the benefits aren't as easily identified."

Idea: Ace of Hearts

Summary:

In a deck of cards, there are 52 individual cards; four suits - hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds - with 13 cards each. With these 52 cards, there is one, occasionally two, "extras". These extras, as we would know, are jokers.

Now, imagine each suit of the deck having wills, bodies, and existences of their own - all want to be supreme. If this were to explained visually, imagine four chess boards, with two front corners touching a different board. Taking the place of the pawns and pieces, are peasants, knights and royalty, all hungering for the taste of victory.
This is how things are, with this War of Aces.

All forces are evenly matched, as one could say, unable to overpower another; remaining in perfect stalemate. In a war, victory must be achieved in any way imaginable, but what could possibly give one suit the upper hand? The answer; the one and only joker of the deck.

The joker is the considered "neutral party" of the War of Aces, not really picking a side or participating in grand battles on a suit's board. Again, visually, if each suit had a board, and said board had two front corners touching a different board, then there would be an empty diamond space in the middle; this is the neutral territory, or the domain of the joker. The reason, however, for this being the key of advantage in the battle, is the neutral card's natural and unbelievable strength. In card games, the joker card will occasionally be the random and unexpected card that is used to turn the tides of a game - This even applies to a war between suits.
And of course, bring a neutral party, the joker card remains on its own side.

The story doesn't directly follow the Kings of the suits or the conflict right off the bat, but instead, it follows the trump card that will inevitably decide the war's victor; it isn't the lone joker of the deck, but a teenage human by the name of Parker DiAngelo.

Parker has just about nothing to do with the cards or their existence; he doesn't have powers, he doesn't have some strange sixth sense that allows him to be aware of the cards, he knows NOTHING about their war. The only thing card-related that he's involved with, is his occasional game of solitaire that he plays when he has free time. That's it. There is nothing else.

He stays out of the strange world of cards and war, up until the point where he is suddenly - and randomly - greeted by a strange male floating outside his bedroom window.
 This is Joker.

Friends almost immediately, Joker and Parker are often together, but don't appear that way to the normal human eye; Joker can make himself visible or invisible to humans whenever he feels like it, but Parker is almost always able to see him. Despite the whole flying and magic card tricks thing, everything is about as normal as it can be.
Well, of course, until Parker is randomly attacked by a random person.

The attacker would be an underling of the Heart King, one of the grand suits. This attack pulls Parker - as well as Joker - into the War of Aces. Human or not doesn't matter to these card-fiends, since he's just another piece that needs eliminating. What Parker doesn't know, is that he's the key to victory and the conclusion of the war;
As predicted by the original, psychic joker of the deck, there would be a tool that would bring forth the absolute rage of the weapon to end all wars and claim victory for the worthy suit. This tool was Parker, and the weapon was Joker.

Characters:
Name: Parker DiAngelo
Age: 17
Physical Characteristics: Parker has dark blonde hair brushed to the left, that can occasionally be wavy. His eyes are a mix between light green-light blue and he's also a bit pale. He's around 5'7", is of average weight - though more on the lighter side - and has a well-built body type (though he's not very muscular. He's kind of a twig that can do things that normal twigs can't. If that makes sense).
Personality: He's something of an ambivert (a mix between an extrovert and an introvert, in case you didn't know), but has a witty sense of humor - though his jokes can be poorly timed. When it comes to his high school career, he does well, but is bad at history, seeing as how he isn't a fan of past rulers and/or politics and things like it. Parker likes cards and card games, birds, and even art - coincidentally, he only ever paints/uses the colors red, black, and white (my friend came up with this part and it's just so ironic that I decided to keep it). He also has this habit of messing with his hands and hair.

Name: Joker
Age: Unknown; takes on the physical appearance of a teenager ranging from 16 to 19
Physical Characteristics: His hair is generally a deep, reddish-brown with long bangs and brushed to the right, his eyes are a vivid red, and his skin is faintly tanned. He's physically strong, weighs less than Parker, but is still a good few inches taller. Joker's clothing - and I'm only saying this because it never changes - consists of a red v-neck with a distorted and "lazily illustrated" black joker symbol on the front, a short, black jacket with a hood and pure white outlining, a red right glove and a black left glove, as well as pants with a red right leg and black left leg, and sturdy but flexible boots - a red right boot and black left boot, both with x-crossed thick, black laces - that reach halfway up his thighs. Around his nick is a thicker choker with two black stripes and a red stripe in the middle, made of leather with belt-like holes, and he has black cuffs on the edges of his ears.
Personality: He is the Jack Frost of cards; Joker is basically a spirit-like entity with a sense of humor and a carefree attitude. Though menacing in appearance, he's actually kind and caring when you speak to him. He just about always has earbuds in his ears, even if his teal-blue MP3 player isn't playing anything. As mentioned before, he can fly, and turn into the biggest goof whenever he feels it's necessary. Though he's generally a laid back and caring individual, when something happens to Parker - the only person close to him - or when he's pushed too far over the limit, he will turn into the most threatening person EVER. He has powers, but never uses them - they're basically a last resort kind of thing.
Weapon: A deck of blue and black diamond-patterned cards.

Idea: Shadow and Light

Summary:

Many know heaven as a place of peace and rest. Those who have faith are sent there after death, and remain there until the end of time. Same goes with hell; but that is for those who fail to have any faith that all. These two worlds are notorious for being polar opposites. One is good, one is bad. One is high in the sky, the other is buried too far underground for mortals to ever hope of reaching.

Funny part is, these realms aren't all that different.

The story outlines the lives of two similar, yet very different, characters.

A citizen of Heaven, and a princess of Hell.

There is a race of Angels known as the "Pure Ones." They were born inside of Heaven, and have been citizens of it since their first breath; unlike the regular Angels, whose souls were mere immigrants. Our first character, Levi, was born as one of these entities.

Once upon a time, Satan had a kid. His only child, a daughter, who seemed to cause chaos wherever she went. Described as "cat-like" by her peers in all dimensions, the girl is famous for her acts of mischief. This is our second character, Seras.

These two girls have one thing in common; they were both sent away from their homes and landed in the Human world.

Well, Levi left by her own choice. She was tired of the pristine and prestigious lifestyle of the Angels. It was just...too perfect, too strange. Nothing ever seemed to go wrong, which ultimately bothered her. Every time that the girl got a chance to glance down at the mortal realm, she would only see problems. Wars, famine, murders, racism; you name it, she saw it. The Angel thought that it was wrong, that she would get to live such a perfect life, while the world below was so flawed and awful.

Unfortunately, she was the only one who thought this way. Her relatives and neighbors merely waved the matter away, claiming that it 'wasn't their problem' and that 'those pesky humans brought it all upon themselves.' Levi refused to fall into the same line of thinking as they. Once she had begun to think differently, the young Angel noticed how synchronized everyone else was.

No one questioned anything, and just accepted everything. They never thought for themselves, and only followed the same flow as everyone else. They might as well just share a body and get it over with.

So, she left. Without another thought, Levi jumped from Heaven and landed in the Mortal world. She condemned herself to the title of "Fallen Angel."

Now, onto the Demon Cat.

After ripping Jesus' robe, and basically every curtain in the Holy Palace, to shreds, Seras is banished from Heaven. Whoops. This really isn't a problem for her, since the realm isn't her home anyways. But, after a heated argument with her father about responsibilities and such, she takes the next prank a little too far. She sparks a war between two minor demon colonies, and ultimately causes them to kill each other off. While the girl had done this several times before, enough was enough.

She was temporarily banished from Hell as well, and sent to the mortal realm as punishment.

Trapped inside of human hosts, the two girls wander the Earth in similar situations. They are introduced to each other through Lucifer; who is Levi's biological brother and the "glorified babysitter" of Seras. Wanting to keep an eye on the two simultaneously, he forces the duo to "coincidentally" meet.

Unknown of each other's identities, they become fast friends. In fact, they don't figure out their origins until years after their first meeting. If anything, their bond strengthens because of their polar opposite pasts.

One thing I should mention. When an Angel falls, their wings gradually darken from white to pitch black. The process takes a while, well over a single human lifetime. While an Angel's wings are still gray, they can be "purified" and transitioned back into white. However, the process is very painful, and is something that is heavily avoided. Until the features turn completely black, one could still be "saved." Because of this, there is a large hunt for the Fallen Angel. The others search feverishly for Levi, which is why she must do everything in her power to not get caught.

Seras promises to give her shelter in hell the moment that her sentence is over. Until then, they are forced to hide out in the mortal world.

Oh yeah, there's also this dumb butt mortal who makes a contract with Seras. The demon only agreed to it because she got some Bakugan out of it. Silly, I know. But, you must keep in mind that the daughter of Satan is like 5 in demon years.

Characters:

Name: Levi
Nicknames: Tenshi. Bird-girl. Barbie. Defective Perfectionist. Dirt Wings. Lev. Angel Lady. God's Right Hand Idiot.
Age (Mortal): 5; 15
Physical characteristics: Long blonde hair that she prefers to keep tied back and out of her eyes. Pale skin, sky blue eyes. Wingspan is around 12 feet; and the feathers slowly darken from a pure white to black. By the time she is "15," Levi's wings are a light gray.
Personality: Optimistic and cheerful; always seems to have a smile on her face. Can be really misleading when she is angry or sad because the girl had a habit of masking it behind a grin (Basically Seras is the only one to see past it).Really flipping shy around strangers. Whenever Levi swears or drops a somewhat innapropirate joke, its really funny because she has this eternally innocent face that really throws you off. Has a habit of ignoring names and just plain calling people by whatever nickname seems fit. But if she uses your real name, then you'd better run.
Quote: "There is a reason why I left. Its stupid to live in a Utopia when its just an illusion."

Name: Seras
Nicknames: Demon Cat. Neko. Her Purriness. Purrincess. Whiskers. The Pawsome One. Chocoholic. Hellgirl. The Devil's Little Girl. Brat.
Age (Mortal): 5; 15
Physical characteristics: Jet black hair that is cut just below her shoulders. Amber eyes that look red in certain lighting. Has a mischivous smile that is almost cat-like. Tends to like more comfortable and durable clothing. But, no matter what, she will always have holes in the legs of her pants. (Seras likes to crawl around on her knees, okay? Its not that weird!)
Personality: Quiet and a bit distant from society. She's the kind of person who would rather hole up inside on a nice day with a book and some snacks instead of take a step outside. Cold towards people that she doesn't know, but very protective of the friends she does have. Seras has a very cat-like personality. Seriously, stick a string in front of her face and she'll instantly lunge for it. And if you tick her off, beware of her claws. Chica will not hesitate to scratch you. Oh yeah, and if you pull a prank with her, then you are instantly on the Demon Cat's good side.
Quote: "Even if you're an immortal deity, life is too short to just sit around and be boring. I mean, really, mortal up and enjoy yourself."

Name: Lucifer
Age (Mortal): 19
Nicknames: Lucy. Glorified Babysitter. Waste of Feathers. Fallen F***-up. Cinderella's Cat.
Physical characteristics: Short dark brown hair. Pale like his sister, with darker blue eyes than her own. Scar under his eye that he recieved the day that he escaped from Heaven (He may have fallen on his face after jumping). Wingspan is around 16 feet; feathers are a pitch black.
Personality: Lazy. Complains a lot. Loves his sis more than anything, but honestly can't stand her demon bestie (Who he has to watch over anyways). Has a habit of sticking his nose in everyone's business. Can be a kind and caring brother, but is a stuck up nutshell most of the time. But, despite his reluctance to do things, Lucifer always gets the job done.
Quote: "If you try to fight against the Riptide head on, then you'll surely get swept out to sea. The secret is attacking it from an angle; going with the flow until you see an opportunity to break free."

Name: Elizabeth Hemmel
Age: 16
Nicknames: Eli. Liz. Mistress. Dog girl. Miss Huntress. Rambo. Gun girl. Wolfy. Dog-breath. Flea-bag. Mortal-girl. Peasant creature.
Physical characteristics: Long brown hair and hazel eyes.  A bit shorter than Levi, but not by much; still taller than Seras. Is a bit on the girly side, but doesn't go out of her way to doll-up. Pretty dang innocent looking, almost as much as Levi. Always wears a chain necklace with a bullet-shaped pendant.
Personality: Pretty nice and kind of socially awkward; but not as much as the other two. Her voice is pretty shaky by nature; which eventually rubs off on her two inhuman friends and it becomes a habit. Really open about her emotions. She learned pretty early on that the other two were an angel and a demon, but brushed it off for almost an entire year. She's the kind of person who will make a contract with a demon, and possibly get her soul taken away, just for the hell of it. Oh yeah, and she really likes to hunt. And dogs. Can't forget the dogs.
Quote: "So...if I understand this correctly... you have an Army of Angels hunting you down, and that one is destined to rule Hell... Huh. Neat."

Idea: Parallel Me

Summary:
Everyone has their own dark side, their own demon. Although these demons sometimes aid us in rough situations, they are almost constantly whispering evil deeds in our ears.

There is a boy who is able to see other people's demons, just not his own. The inner madness of each individual appears as a physical entity next to said person. They take the form of their host, earning more twisted features as they become stronger. The weakest "demons" are only distinguishable by their eyes, pure black with red irises. Because he sees the internal conflicts inside of others, he is unable to trust anyone completely, seeing them as all horrible people.

The Demons also evolve with the person's life experiences. The transformation is similar to that of them becoming stronger, but does not necessarily define the human as a whole. So, basically, someone who had gotten beaten and bullied in the past could have a completely warped looking Demon, and yet genuinely be a kind person. The boy doesn't know this, however, and often misjudges people based on their past.

Meanwhile, his own Demon is slowly taking over. The boy's judgmental and suspicious ways causes his own internal entity to form into something that is nothing short of evil.

Characters:
Name: *unknown*
Age: somewhere in the 16-19 range
Physical Characteristics: only known is that he is average height.
Personality: Often a bit depressing and distant from others. Untrusting. Arrogant. Drops a few funny one-liners but doesn't really have a sense of humor.

Idea: Alices of Underland

Summary:

Alice Liddell, in a fever induced dream, created Wonderland. Unlike most dreams, this one did not want to disappear. Starting with poor Alice, the world made itself a reality. From then on, anyone who happened to step inside of Wonderland would be trapped forever. Since dreams need dreamers, whoever happened across Wonderland would instantly become the new 'Alice,' if one was needed. The Alice's job was to keep the world functioning by staying inside of the dream world. They would remain in Wonderland until they died or went insane; since an insane mind was not strong enough to keep the world intact. Those who were replaced instantly lost their face, literally. The rejected Alices would wander around Wonderland as mere husks of themselves.

The story will follow two Alices, who had entered Wonderland at the exact same time by mistake. Of course, this had never happened before, so some side affects would be an order. Ex: Constant earthquakes as Wonderland tries to stay intact, locals becoming even more hostile, mysterious forces coming to rid themselves of one of the Alices, etc.

These two Alices will have to deal with the madness of Wonderland, as well as try to find a way to escape before their real bodies run out of time.

Characters:
         Name: Keira
         Age: 15
Physical Characteristics: Long blonde hair that has a streak of blue. Stormy blue eyes that are more of a grey shade.  Has a habit of wearing military- inspired clothing such as combat boots, cargo pants and olive green/ black shirts (you can't really blame her, her mother and father are both in the military). Prefers to always have some sort of weapon on her, specifically a Swiss army knife that she keeps on or near her person at all times.
Personality: Sarcastic, loud and a bit quick to judge. However, since she is a pretty good judge of character, it hardly becomes an issue. Acts on instinct, and hardly thinks about the consequences. A bit arrogant at times, but has mostly good intentions. Hardworking, despite how much she may complain. Very loyal to whatever unlucky soul is able to become her friend.

         Name: Maddox

         Age: 16
Physical Characteristics: Dark onyx hair that is barely long enough to tie back into a small
ponytail, which he does do occasionally. Dark caramel eyes that look red in certain lighting. Usually wears more loose fitting and plain clothing; such as a baggy old t-shirt with a plain sweatshirt and worn jeans. Always wears his brother's dog tag, since he had died a year before in battle; this item gives him and Keira something to bond over.
Personality: A bit quieter than Keira, but not entirely shy. He is one to be reluctant to talk at first, but will share a conversation if something interests him. Maddox would prefer to stay home and mess around on his laptop than to throw a football or play any other sort of sport. He is lazy, but will quickly and efficiently get a job done with enough encouragement. I wouldn't say that he is as loyal as a person as someone like Keira would be, but he definitely puts his friends and family above all else.

Idea: Heir of the Underworld

Summary:
The daughter of Satan has never stepped out of Hell once. When an Angel comes to talk to her father, Seris is suddenly given a chance to go to the Earth. Jumping on the opportunity, the girl suddenly discovers her strange powers, as well as many reasons to why she should never leave home again. Seeking out the Angel, Adonis, for help, Seris is suddenly betrayed. After escaping from near-death, she finds herself to be stuck in the human world, Earth.

Befriending two humans, Seris manages to find comfort in the land of mortals. But that doesn't last long. A demon group is after her, wanting to destroy the Heiress of Hell in order to take the throne for themselves. Alongside the hunt being lead by Adonis, the girl hardly gets a chance to rest. Problem is, if she heads home then she will instantly be targeted by the Demons. So, living among humans is the only chance she has for survival.

The people of the Under and Higher worlds have been at constant war. The Mortal World  is the only ground where the fights are equal on both sides. If an Angel is killed in the Underworld, they will cease to exist. However, if they are killed on Earth, then their souls are instantly transported to Heaven. And vice versa with the Demons. The creatures are immortal in their homelands, but can be seriously injured.

Humans are reincarnated when they die until they reach total perfection, where they are sent to Heaven; or have sinned so much in their lifetimes that they are sent to Hell.

Characters:
         Name: Seris
         Age: 15
Physical appearance: Long black hair and reddish brown eyes. Short, but everything else is average. She tends to wear darker colors out of habit (her dad is Satan and all). After discovering her powers, Seris always wears a black leather glove over her right hand so that she isn't able to use them as often.

Physical appearance: Long, curly brown hair. Blue eyes. Tall and a little on the large side. Is always wearing some kind of neon clothing. Even if its just her shoelaces.
Personality: A bit of a girly girl, but isn't afraid to get all muddy and loves to go on dangerous adventures. Uses Wallace's fear of spiders against him every chance she gets.
         Species: Human

         Name: Adonis
         Age: Unknown
Physical appearance: Long platinum blonde hair that he always keeps tied back. Bright blue, almost white, eyes. Tall and really freaking pale.
Personality: Can seem like a perfect and kind Prince Charming, but is really greedy and self centered. He will manipulate whoever he wants in order to get to whatever goal he has. Has a strong hatred towards anything that is not an Angel.
         Species: Angel

Name: Delia and Aelia (Demon Sisters)
         Age: Unknown
Physical appearance: Both have long black hair and chalky grey skin. Bright red eyes and lips, long black nails. Pointed teeth, snake like tongues. Always seem to wear long black dresses with silver spiderweb designs. Only difference between the two is that Delia is taller than her sister by a few centimeters.

         Species: Demon

Idea: Reading Nothing

Summary:
(Note: This story takes place in the late 1800s)
We've all tried wishing on a star. Or on dandelions and birthday candles. Fact is, it close to never works. But, when it finally does, everything may not come out the way you imagine it.

Aida Evens, like many naive kids, wish for superpowers. She doesn't specify the abilities just that she desires to have them. The wish doesn't come true until much later. Or at least, it isn't strong enough to be noticed for a while. Reaching her 12th birthday, Aida realizes that she has the unusual powers. The girl is able to move small objects without touching them, as well as read what others are thinking.

The telepathy began a bit weak at first. Aida was only able to read a person's thoughts through physical contact, with the addition of hard concentration. But, as time passed, she was able to share thoughts with almost everyone without much effort. However, this power easily got out of hand, and she could not control the ability. The girl succumbed to the negative thoughts of her peers towards her, and fell into depression.

It wasn't the sudden drop in her mood that caused her to be sent to the psychiatric ward, it was her telekinesis. As the telepathy had grown rapidly stronger, as had the other power. The secondary ability reacted with her emotions, and often caused supernatural harm to those who thought ill of her. Ex: classroom doors closing on the hands of bullies. Bikes running into walls. Or, in the most extreme case, a pair of scissors flying towards one of her tormentor's head. (She never actually killed anyone, or inflicted any sort of major injury.)

That last act was what sent the girl into an insane asylum. Seeing as the institute was just getting to its peak of overcapacity, the patients were beginning to be treated horribly. Shock treatments were a normal thing. Lobotomies were being done to every other person. Luckily, Aida managed to get her hands on her own room, but only because it’s previous occupant had been recently killed.

Aida somehow lives through the experience, sliding under the doctors' radar for a good stretch of time. One of the doctors believes her claim that she can read minds, and silently uses her for experiments. It isn't until he attempts to physically experiment on her brain, does Aida try to escape. Using her powers, the girl kills the doctor and his assistants with the objects that they try to use on her. She escapes, and hides out in the outside world.

Using her superpowers, the girl ends up going more evil than good. Aida tries to avoid being evicted again, at all costs. Her morals have become a bit twisted from being around tortured psychopaths and maniacal doctors. At this point, there is probably no going back.

But, because I have to add an upside to this somewhat depressing story, there is some good in her that can be retrieved. Tanner Richmond a quiet and stubborn boy, discovers the girl after she had just escaped a pair of police officers that had been hunting her down. Unlike the rest of the world, he doesn't immediately think ill of her. He follows Aida around. And, even if it sounds a bit creepy, becomes quite attached to her without really talking to her.  Tanner eventually wants to help her. The girl knows this, but refuses to believe it, thinking that everyone in the world is evil.

Aida forgot that all she had to do was open her eyes in order to see the sun.

Characters:
           Name: Aida Evans
           Age: 12/13
Physical Characteristics: Long brown hair that gets cut short whilst inside of the asylum. Grey eyes. Skinny in an unhealthy way, again because of the nuthouse. Small for her age, and very pale. Gains a scar on her temple from when the doctor tried to drill into her brain. Wears a faded blue dress that earns numerous tears and stains.
Personality: Quiet and doesn't trust anyone around her. Aida tends to look to the dark side of things, considering the fact that almost everyone who meets her instantly thinks that she is a freak. Their negative thoughts affect her more than the positive ones.
