Idea: Alices of Underland

Summary:

Alice Liddell, in a fever induced dream, created Wonderland. Unlike most dreams, this one did not want to disappear. Starting with poor Alice, the world made itself a reality. From then on, anyone who happened to step inside of Wonderland would be trapped forever. Since dreams need dreamers, whoever happened across Wonderland would instantly become the new 'Alice,' if one was needed. The Alice's job was to keep the world functioning by staying inside of the dream world. They would remain in Wonderland until they died or went insane; since an insane mind was not strong enough to keep the world intact. Those who were replaced instantly lost their face, literally. The rejected Alices would wander around Wonderland as mere husks of themselves.

The story will follow two Alices, who had entered Wonderland at the exact same time by mistake. Of course, this had never happened before, so some side affects would be an order. Ex: Constant earthquakes as Wonderland tries to stay intact, locals becoming even more hostile, mysterious forces coming to rid themselves of one of the Alices, etc.

These two Alices will have to deal with the madness of Wonderland, as well as try to find a way to escape before their real bodies run out of time.

Characters:
         Name: Keira
         Age: 15
Physical Characteristics: Long blonde hair that has a streak of blue. Stormy blue eyes that are more of a grey shade.  Has a habit of wearing military- inspired clothing such as combat boots, cargo pants and olive green/ black shirts (you can't really blame her, her mother and father are both in the military). Prefers to always have some sort of weapon on her, specifically a Swiss army knife that she keeps on or near her person at all times.
Personality: Sarcastic, loud and a bit quick to judge. However, since she is a pretty good judge of character, it hardly becomes an issue. Acts on instinct, and hardly thinks about the consequences. A bit arrogant at times, but has mostly good intentions. Hardworking, despite how much she may complain. Very loyal to whatever unlucky soul is able to become her friend.

         Name: Maddox

         Age: 16
Physical Characteristics: Dark onyx hair that is barely long enough to tie back into a small
ponytail, which he does do occasionally. Dark caramel eyes that look red in certain lighting. Usually wears more loose fitting and plain clothing; such as a baggy old t-shirt with a plain sweatshirt and worn jeans. Always wears his brother's dog tag, since he had died a year before in battle; this item gives him and Keira something to bond over.
Personality: A bit quieter than Keira, but not entirely shy. He is one to be reluctant to talk at first, but will share a conversation if something interests him. Maddox would prefer to stay home and mess around on his laptop than to throw a football or play any other sort of sport. He is lazy, but will quickly and efficiently get a job done with enough encouragement. I wouldn't say that he is as loyal as a person as someone like Keira would be, but he definitely puts his friends and family above all else.

Idea: Heir of the Underworld

Summary:
The daughter of Satan has never stepped out of Hell once. When an Angel comes to talk to her father, Seris is suddenly given a chance to go to the Earth. Jumping on the opportunity, the girl suddenly discovers her strange powers, as well as many reasons to why she should never leave home again. Seeking out the Angel, Adonis, for help, Seris is suddenly betrayed. After escaping from near-death, she finds herself to be stuck in the human world, Earth.

Befriending two humans, Seris manages to find comfort in the land of mortals. But that doesn't last long. A demon group is after her, wanting to destroy the Heiress of Hell in order to take the throne for themselves. Alongside the hunt being lead by Adonis, the girl hardly gets a chance to rest. Problem is, if she heads home then she will instantly be targeted by the Demons. So, living among humans is the only chance she has for survival.

The people of the Under and Higher worlds have been at constant war. The Mortal World  is the only ground where the fights are equal on both sides. If an Angel is killed in the Underworld, they will cease to exist. However, if they are killed on Earth, then their souls are instantly transported to Heaven. And vice versa with the Demons. The creatures are immortal in their homelands, but can be seriously injured.

Humans are reincarnated when they die until they reach total perfection, where they are sent to Heaven; or have sinned so much in their lifetimes that they are sent to Hell.

Characters:
         Name: Seris
         Age: 15
Physical appearance: Long black hair and reddish brown eyes. Short, but everything else is average. She tends to wear darker colors out of habit (her dad is Satan and all). After discovering her powers, Seris always wears a black leather glove over her right hand so that she isn't able to use them as often.
Personality: Shy and quiet. As the story drags on, she gets a little more open and more sarcastic. Is a bit overly paranoid, and hates it when people treat her like a little kid.
         Species: Unknown.

         Name: Wallace Dango
         Age: 16
Physical appearance: Short brown hair, blue eyes. Tall and lanky. Likes sweatshirts A LOT and will wear them any chance he gets.
Personality: Outgoing and funny. Bit of a social butterfly. He isn't scared by much, but gets freaked out whenever he sees something spider related. Loves to tease his younger sister
         Species: Human

         Name: Vicky Dango
         Age: 14
Physical appearance: Long, curly brown hair. Blue eyes. Tall and a little on the large side. Is always wearing some kind of neon clothing. Even if its just her shoelaces.
Personality: A bit of a girly girl, but isn't afraid to get all muddy and loves to go on dangerous adventures. Uses Wallace's fear of spiders against him every chance she gets.
         Species: Human

         Name: Adonis
         Age: Unknown
Physical appearance: Long platinum blonde hair that he always keeps tied back. Bright blue, almost white, eyes. Tall and really freaking pale.
Personality: Can seem like a perfect and kind Prince Charming, but is really greedy and self centered. He will manipulate whoever he wants in order to get to whatever goal he has. Has a strong hatred towards anything that is not an Angel.
         Species: Angel

Name: Delia and Aelia (Demon Sisters)
         Age: Unknown
Physical appearance: Both have long black hair and chalky grey skin. Bright red eyes and lips, long black nails. Pointed teeth, snake like tongues. Always seem to wear long black dresses with silver spiderweb designs. Only difference between the two is that Delia is taller than her sister by a few centimeters.
Personality: They like to repeat each other/ finish each other's sentences. The twins love riddles. The twins are very sadistic, and enjoy witnessing and causing any form of torture possible.
         Species: Demon

Idea: Reading Nothing

Summary:
(Note: This story takes place in the late 1800s)
We've all tried wishing on a star. Or on dandelions and birthday candles. Fact is, it close to never works. But, when it finally does, everything may not come out the way you imagine it.

Aida Evens, like many naive kids, wish for superpowers. She doesn't specify the abilities just that she desires to have them. The wish doesn't come true until much later. Or at least, it isn't strong enough to be noticed for a while. Reaching her 12th birthday, Aida realizes that she has the unusual powers. The girl is able to move small objects without touching them, as well as read what others are thinking.

The telepathy began a bit weak at first. Aida was only able to read a person's thoughts through physical contact, with the addition of hard concentration. But, as time passed, she was able to share thoughts with almost everyone without much effort. However, this power easily got out of hand, and she could not control the ability. The girl succumbed to the negative thoughts of her peers towards her, and fell into depression.

It wasn't the sudden drop in her mood that caused her to be sent to the psychiatric ward, it was her telekinesis. As the telepathy had grown rapidly stronger, as had the other power. The secondary ability reacted with her emotions, and often caused supernatural harm to those who thought ill of her. Ex: classroom doors closing on the hands of bullies. Bikes running into walls. Or, in the most extreme case, a pair of scissors flying towards one of her tormentor's head. (She never actually killed anyone, or inflicted any sort of major injury.)

That last act was what sent the girl into an insane asylum. Seeing as the institute was just getting to its peak of overcapacity, the patients were beginning to be treated horribly. Shock treatments were a normal thing. Lobotomies were being done to every other person. Luckily, Aida managed to get her hands on her own room, but only because it’s previous occupant had been recently killed.

Aida somehow lives through the experience, sliding under the doctors' radar for a good stretch of time. One of the doctors believes her claim that she can read minds, and silently uses her for experiments. It isn't until he attempts to physically experiment on her brain, does Aida try to escape. Using her powers, the girl kills the doctor and his assistants with the objects that they try to use on her. She escapes, and hides out in the outside world.

Using her superpowers, the girl ends up going more evil than good. Aida tries to avoid being evicted again, at all costs. Her morals have become a bit twisted from being around tortured psychopaths and maniacal doctors. At this point, there is probably no going back.

But, because I have to add an upside to this somewhat depressing story, there is some good in her that can be retrieved. Tanner Richmond a quiet and stubborn boy, discovers the girl after she had just escaped a pair of police officers that had been hunting her down. Unlike the rest of the world, he doesn't immediately think ill of her. He follows Aida around. And, even if it sounds a bit creepy, becomes quite attached to her without really talking to her.  Tanner eventually wants to help her. The girl knows this, but refuses to believe it, thinking that everyone in the world is evil.

Aida forgot that all she had to do was open her eyes in order to see the sun.

Characters:
           Name: Aida Evans
           Age: 12/13
Physical Characteristics: Long brown hair that gets cut short whilst inside of the asylum. Grey eyes. Skinny in an unhealthy way, again because of the nuthouse. Small for her age, and very pale. Gains a scar on her temple from when the doctor tried to drill into her brain. Wears a faded blue dress that earns numerous tears and stains.
Personality: Quiet and doesn't trust anyone around her. Aida tends to look to the dark side of things, considering the fact that almost everyone who meets her instantly thinks that she is a freak. Their negative thoughts affect her more than the positive ones.

           Name:
Tanner Richmond
           Age: 14
Physical Characteristics: Long black hair that kind of hangs over his eyes when not brushed back, which it rarely was. Brown eyes. Lean and strong for his age. Wears suspenders and a graying cotton shirt. He also wears a cap and doesn't own a pair of shoes. Missing a majority of his pinkie from an accident using a machine in one of the factories.
Personality: Quiet and a bit stubborn at times. Despite the poor living conditions he currently has, the boy is optimistic about almost everything. Even though he doesn't have much to share, Tanner does his best to make Aida feel welcome in the outside world.

Chapter 1- Last of the Labyrinth

Brevin opened his eyes. His surroundings were dark; it was impossible to see anything. A pounding pain thumped behind the boy's eyes. It felt like someone was beating his skull with a hammer. It took a few seconds to realize that he was lying on a concrete floor. The surface was rough and cold, and smelled like dirt. Picking himself up off of the ground, Brevin tried to get a glimpse of his surroundings. But there was nothing to be seen. He reached his arms in front of him, trying to find something solid; something that would tell him where he was.

His fingers brushed against the rough surface of a wall. It had been made of the same material as the floor. Keeping one hand on the cold object, Brevin started walking. Feeling around, he tried to find a light switch of some sort. Or possibly even a door. The boy's foot hit something long and metallic. It rolled away due to the small impact. He could hear the faint scraping as it moved. The sound was familiar, he had heard it several times before. Suddenly, the area was bathed in a bright light.

Brevin shielded his eyes with his hand, glancing at his surroundings through a small gap between his middle and ring fingers. He was in a long hallway that branched off in several different directions. The walls around him stood almost 5 stories tall. Looking up, he saw that the ceiling stood several more meters above the top of the barriers. Large, covered lights lined the walls with a large gap between each. This left room for dark shadows to form right in the center. Dark stains covered various areas of the walls and floor. The corridor was worn horribly, with many gauges and scars running up and down its surface.

Directing his gaze to the small area around him, Brevin spotted the object that he had kicked over earlier. It was an aluminum baseball bat. Its surface was covered in numerous dents and scratches. The rubber grip was almost completely gone; what was left were small shredded bits. A small distance from the bat lay a small electronic device. The object looked a little like a Kindle, but thicker and a lot sturdier. A voice echoed in the mysterious space, its source unknown.

'Please turn on your map.' The voice chanted. It was feminine, and robotic sounding. Kind of like the prerecorded tone of Siri or Cortana. 'Please turn on your map.' It repeated. The recording said these words a few more times, and then stopped abruptly.

Frowning, Brevin looked down at the device in his hands. Turning it over, the boy noticed a small button at the top; as well as eight slots that burrowed through the gadget. Cautiously pressing the button, he watches as the machine turned on. A small white blip in the center grew until it covered the entire screen. Almost immediately, the white changed back to a dark onyx. For a moment, the boy thought that it had shut off on its own. He was about to press the button again when a figure came into view.

A mask floated on the screen. It was an olive green, and covered the person's entire face. Bright orange markings covered the disguise to give it the appearance of a complicated maze. Just looking at it for a second made Brevin dizzy. He was unable to see the rest of the stranger's body, only a black outline. "Welcome. You have been chosen to play a very interesting game." The mask stated. Unlike the voice from before, it was obviously a male. And no obvious computer editing had been added. "I have placed you in a maze with several other people. And just because it makes the event more entertaining, I shall not reveal the total number.

"The rules of the game are very simple. Kill. Or be killed. In order to escape my maze, you will need to kill at least eight others. Each of you have a portion of the map that had been surgically installed inside of your bodies. Don't worry about food, we will supply that for you. Your biggest concern is killing, remember that."
The form flickered off of the screen for a moment. His broadcast was done.

It took a while for Brevin to process what the stranger had just said. Kill? As in... Murder each other? He rested his back against the concrete wall, and sat down. This had to be a dream, a horrible nightmare. There was no way that someone could expect him to do something like that. The boy had only turned twelve last month. And now he was being expected to... "It really is a dream." Brevin noted. "I'm still at home, asleep in my own bed. And this is just a nightmare that I'm going to wake up from at any second." Standing up, the boy was already convinced by his words.

He picked up the bat, and looked down at the blank screen of the tablet. All he could see was his own reflection. Light brown hair and bright blue eyes stared back at him. Brevin noticed the large bump on his forehead. The wound had split a little, and dried blood had crusted around the opening. Shrugging it off, the boy tapped the screen experimentally. A picture popped up on the map.

It appeared to be a grid at first, with nine faintly outlined boxes. One of the boxes held a complicated pattern that was similar to that on the mask. It sat in the lower right square. A small red dot flashed in the center of the maze. It reminded Brevin of one of those red markings on maps in a mall; the ones that read 'You are here.' Shouldering the bat, the boy decided that he should try to find the exit. Surely he would be able to get through the maze without killing anyone. If he stayed to the right, he should be able to get to the end eventually.

Momentarily forgetting about the potential danger, he wandered around unguarded. Turning a corner, Brevin stepped in a puddle. Looking down, his eyes widened with fear as he saw the coloring. An almost black crimson liquid spread across the floor, slowly creeping further from its source. A man sat in the center of the puddle, hunched over a ripped figure. "Where is it?" He demanded. Using a small blade, the stranger cut a long slit into the other's chest. Laughing, the person held up a small, rectangular object that looked like an SIM card for a phone. By the way he was hunched over, the murderer looked like Golem from Lord of the Rings.

"I found it!" He gloated. "I found the piece!" Shoving the chip into a device that looked just like Brevin's, the figure continued his small celebration. Standing up, he turned around. The boy had been frozen in fear the entire time. This wasn't...this couldn't be real. The maze. The blood. None of it could be part of reality. Brevin started shaking as the killer advanced. An eerie smile had plastered itself on the man's face. The fear moved the boy's limbs for him.

Without looking back, the boy ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction. The cold reality of the situation hit him almost as hard as the fear. This was no dream. And Brevin would die if he didn't escape.

Idea: Thorn Brush

 Summary:
Once upon a time (sorry for the cliche), there was a land ruled by a very selfish king. He had been targeted for assassination several times, and each attempt had failed. This, alongside his country's many victories in battle, was the cause of a group of people. This group was supposedly made up of demons, and past slaves. Each one was fierce and bloodthirsty. And as the rumors went, they had mysterious powers as well.

The story will follow the newest and youngest member of the group, Kye. She is one of the more feirce characters, but cares more for her morals than most others. Having lived a life of slavery, the girl finds the opportunity of working for the King as a sort of freedom. Though, as told from another character, Xander's, point of view, she is even more trapped than she had been before. Quickly closing the ranks and becoming a skilled assassin for the King, the girl is sent to a small village on the border of the land to fetch a supposed important document. There, she meets Xander who had been sent there as well. But his purpose is to stop whatever rebellion may be brewing inside of the small town. Kye ends up helping him with this mission, not knowing that he belongs to the same group that she does. A third character, Rider, is quickly dispatched to fetch Xander and bring him back to the King.

Basically what happens when the 3 get back to the Royal City is Kye sees how cruel the King could be. He treats her new companion, Xander, as an object and a pet. The girl has had to watch, on several occasions in the matter of days, as her friend was beaten and humiliated. Rider and Xander are soon sent on another mission, and Kye tags along. A lot of stuff happens, and she somehow finds herself becoming the leader of a rebellion.

Characters:
           Name: Kye
         Age: 16
Physical Characteristics: Short black hair that is barely long enough to cover her bright green eyes. 5'2. Pale. Has numerous scars and burned in markings on her arms and back from previous owners. Black tattoos resembling a thorny vine wraps around her arms, covering most of her scars. Vey very fast.
Personality: Quiet and a bit serious at times. Cares more about her fellow members than most others do. She tends to keep her emotions in check, and rarely shows what she is feeling. Occasionally, the barrier would break and Kye will go one or two days riding a wave of every feeling she had tried to hold back

          Name: Xander
          Age: 19
Physical Characteristics: Short brown hair and hazel eyes. Always wears some kind of high collared shirt or cloak. He has a wound around his neck that had scabbed over and scarred several times. This is from a collar that the King forces him to wear, in which the inside is barbed and is meant to cause the man constant pain. Archer.
Personality: Doesn't talk, but has a way of communicating with simple hand motions and expressions. Quiet. A bit too willing to kill others, but after a while of hanging around Kye he starts to be a bit more sympathetic.

          Name: Rider
        Age: 22
Physical Characteristics: Long blonde hair that he usually ties back. Deep blue eyes. Muscular. Tall. Tan. Since he travels often, Rider usually has a bit of stubble growing. Sometimes even a full on beard. Stronger than most humans.
Personality: Loud and carefree. He tends to drop really bad jokes at the worst possible times. His favorite victim to tease is Kye, because unlike Xander, she gives some pretty interesting reactions. Rider has a small issue with split personalities. One version is the man as described above. The second is his "loyal dog" personality. With this he is very solumn and tends to only think of whatever job the King has given him. He will think nothing of any of his comrades, only about his assigned mission.

Idea: The Mystery of Markus Wheeler

Summary:

Markus is dragged to a small town by his parents. He instantly makes friends, but they aren't very loyal ones. The boy's new "friends" convince him to go to an old cemetery on the anniversary of an infamous witch's death.

Inside of the cemetery, Markus trips and accidentally cracks an unmarked gravestone. Thinking nothing of it, he leaves. Little does he know that he's been cursed. The male is given the ability to see ghosts, and it is slowly driving him insane. Nobody believes him, and his "friends" become his most dedicated bullies. Having no one else to turn to, he goes back to the graveyard after hearing a rumor about a witch that had been buried there. Suspecting that she was the cause of his grief, Markus talks with the ghost of Martha Roswell.

She then manipulates him to take revenge on those who had disgraced him. Little does he know that his bullies are the ancestors of her killers. Markus begins with cruel pranks that may cause serious harm, but not death. But, once he does accidentally kill someone, the boy disappears. After years of searching, his parent move away in grief, and the police halt the investigation.

Years later, a girl named Faith moves into the same town with her grandparents, since her parents are always working and do not have time to care for her. She is obsessed with all things paranormal, and wishes to be a Paranormal Investigator when she is older. The girl finds out about Markus, and instantly starts her detective work. Because she considers the abnormal, Faith gets a lot farther than the police had in 3 years. Her hunt eventually leads her to Martha's grave, where she questions the spirit.

Ghosts are only able to speak in riddles, which creates a temporary obstacle in Faith's search. After a few months, the girl finally tracks down Markus, who had been living in the basement of a rundown church.  He is mentally unstable, and is pretty much a fleshy spirit at this point. He only speaks in riddles, and even then can't speak in complete sentences.

Either I'm going to have the girl almost killed, and move away from the town, or have Markus kill her and then come to his senses.

Back story of Martha Roswell: The young 11 year old had never been popular with the other kids. She had always been an outcast, mostly because of her very vivid imagination and refusal to live in reality. Because of this, Martha is accused of being a witch by her peers, a few years before the time of the Witch Trials in Salem. Instead of being placed in a proper court, the older children take it upon themselves to test the girl's innocence. She is then drowned in a river, as it is one of the "tests" to check if someone is a witch or not. Haunting the town, Martha does all she can to take revenge on the others. She pulls others into insanity, and have them do her dirty work.

Characters:
           Name: Markus Wheeler
           Age: 12/16
Physical Characteristics: Before his disappearance, Markus had short cropped black hair and brown eyes. Not very strong. Has a birthmark on the back of his knee that kind of looked like a blotted sideways cross.
Personality: He is quiet, and doesn't really get along with people that well. So, when he gains a friend, Markus will do anything he can to keep them.

           Name: Faith Macaulay
           Age: 14
Physical Characteristics: Long, curly red hair and green eyes. Small splash of freckles on her nose. Average in almost everything appearance-wise. Has a preference for loose, comfortable clothing, despite the fact that her family could easily afford many of the more fashionable styles.
Personality: Free-spirited and willing to make friends with virtually anyone. She is a smart student, but has a bit of an ADHD problem that gets her into a lot of trouble with teachers. Faith tends to always try to look to the bright side of things, and refuses to give up when she sets her mind to something.

           Name: Martha Roswell
Age: 11 at time of death
Physical Characteristics: Originally had long blonde hair that she always kept in a braid. Originally had blue eyes, and was small for her age. Used to be eternally pale, no matter how much sun she got. Wore the typical dress and clothing for the time period. In her ghost form, all of these characteristics are a silvery white and transparent.
Personality: Martha used to be very quiet and kind to everything and one she came across. Your stereotypical "Disney Princess" personality. After death, she became very bitter and sought out revenge. The girl wasn't able to physically harm her victims, but was able to drive them insane. Either this or cause someone else to become paranoid enough to physically harm people for her.

Idea: Last of the Labyrinth

Summary:
An unknown amount of people are cast into random points of a large maze that stretches miles in all directions. Each are given an unmarked map and a weapon. In order to escape from the maze, they must kill the other people trapped inside to gain a piece of the map. The portion is hidden somewhere inside of the victim's body, and its location varies. There are also random checkpoints in the maze that contain supplies that are needed to survive. These checkpoints change every day, so one player cannot camp out and take all of the needed items daily. There are also numerous traps and beasts inside of the maze that are revealed when someone has not died within a certain time period inside of each section of the maze.

There are a total of 8 unmarked sections on the maps, and 1 marked section where the person starts. Inside of each person, as I mentioned before, there is a marked portion of the map. However, as the location of the piece is unclear, as is where the marked shard highlights. Basically, the "players" have to kill at least 8 people each in order to escape; assuming that they do not get repeated pieces. It is impossible to escape just by pure luck. The acquired shards also act as a key. So, even if someone finds they exit, it is impossible to escape unless they have taken all of the needed elements.

All of this is explained to the victims when they first enter the maze. Except for the part about the pieces being keys. Also, if a person is killed by one of the traps that have been automatically set inside of the maze, then it is possible that another can come along and collect their shard. As a bonus penalty, it is impossible to climb to the top of the maze. Even if one manages this, there are various security systems that will immediately dispose of the "cheater."

Characters:
          Name: Brevin Tate
          Age: 12
Physical Appearance: Short brown hair and blue eyes. Tall for his age. Tan. Skinny. About as muscled as a 12 year old can get.
Personality: He is that kind of kid that everyone likes for no reason. Brevin isn't very loud, but is still sort of a social butterfly. Before being cast into the Maze, he played baseball and was a little over average at everything. The boy is a straight C student, but is smarter than he lets on.
          Weapon: Baseball bat.
          Likeliness to kill: Medium

          Name: Kenzy Davies
          Age: 8
Physical Appearance: Small for her age. Long, unruly blonde hair and brown eyes. Skinny. Pale. Isn't very strong, but is fast.
Personality: Kenzy is very quiet and doesn't speak often. She is a bit emotional, being a kid and all. Also, she is afraid of her own shadow, and will cling to Brevin or Grady when she gets scared. Brevin is her favorite, but she will just as willingly go to Grady for guidance if needed.
          Weapon: Spear
          Likeliness to kill: Very low.

          Name: Grady Lieth
          Age: 12
Physical Appearance: Short curly black hair and brown eyes. Dark brown skin. Grady is taller than Brevin, but only by a couple of centimeters. Lanky. Not really that muscled, but still strong.
Personality: Grady is the type of person who would rather stay home, playing video games, than do anything else. He is only fit because of his competitive nature, which enables him to be "that one kid in P.E. that treats the class like its the Olympics." Because of his gaming habits, he is a bit of a strategist and is very quick thinking, even though he isn't very book smart. He is also a very brotherly character towards Kenzy, even though he is not her favorite.
          Weapon: Large hunting knife.
          Likeliness to kill: Medium/High

(If you find this idea a bit morbid, blame my English teacher. He's the one making us read books about murderous 12 year olds who offer pig heads to made up demons)

Idea: Buzzers and Stuff

Summary:
Tyler and her brother go on a camping trip with their grandparents. All of a sudden, strange disappearances happen at the campgrounds and no one knows who is doing it. This strange family warns Tyler  and her family that it is no longer safe there and that they should go to this certain shelter that was made for this situation. Tyler's grandparents laugh at this idea and don't actually head towards the coordinates until her brother is almost taken.

Along the way, they meet some very interesting people who are headed towards the same place. It turns out that the shelter is really the Hive for an alien group known to humans as Buzzers; and the mysterious family had lead them to their doom. Buzzers are carnivorous, insect-like aliens who gain their nutrition from large animals, specifically humans.

Tyler and her brother escape, but their grandparents are caught and dragged into the Hive. The two escape along with a few of the people they had met along the way; 4 other kids who range from the brother's age to a little bit older than Tyler. These 6 humans make it their mission to go around, killing any Buzzer they come across, and help any person who wishes to survive. However,  as they do this, the world is slowly being taken over  by the aliens. So, their mission might be completely pointless.

Chapter 1- Never Forgetting Neverland

Shouting from the hallway pulled the girl out of sleep. Her deep blue eyes revealed themselves under tired lids. The sapphire orbs flickered over to a clock on her white nightstand. Small glowing numbers revealed that it was just past midnight. She rolled over in her bed, pulling the covers closer. The annual scolding of her mother towards her drunken father slipped under the bedroom door. The 8 year old could hear the constant screaming and profanity through the thin walls. She willed the fighting away. This had been going on so long; the girl had no tears left to shed over the matter. A soft tapping came from the direction of the window. Sitting up abruptly, she strained to see outside

A smile of pearled white teeth stared at her through the glass. Bright, playful green eyes sparkled with amusement. A tangled mop of reddish brown hair sat under an olive green cap with a red feather. A boy, maybe 15 or 16 years old, hovered outside of her window. And yes, I did say hovered. The girl's room sat on the third floor of an old apartment complex. The boy tapped again, and motioned for her to open the window. Returning the wide smile, she happily obliged. Sliding the window pane upwards, she watched in wonder as her visitor floated into the room. Hearing the arguing going on in the other room, the boy frowned. Touching down onto the carpeted floor, he crossed his arms. "Are they really doing this again?" He questioned. His emerald irises held their playful spark, but the rest of his expression was carved in disapproval.

Sighing, the girl nodded. Crouching next to her bed, she pulled out a pair of worn sneakers and placed them on her feet. Slipping on a dark blue sweater off of her floor, the girl tied back her tangled blonde hair. She grabbed a small tearing backpack off of her dresser and slung it over one shoulder. "Can we go? Please?" She whispered, just loud enough so that the other could hear. Her wide blue eyes stared up at the teenager hopefully.

The boy looked around for a moment, as if looking for something. Realizing that it was not there, he sighed. Placing a palm on his forehead, he looked at the girl apologetically. "I forgot, Tinks didn't want to come. She is kind of tired of flying back and forth. So...no Pixie dust this time. Sorry, Casey."

The girl, Casey, smiled and shook her head. "That's okay. We still have the faith and trust part, right?"

His smile popped up again. "Yeah. Besides, I can always carry you. We're only flying up to the stars." Turning his back to her, the boy crouched down. He motioned for her to climb up onto his back, and she did. Wrapping her small arms around his shoulders, Casey held on tight. Trotting over to the window, her friend placed one leg on the wooden frame. Reinforcing his hold on the girl, he jumped.

For a second, they were falling as quickly as a stone would in water. The wind whipped Casey's ponytail up so that it was a vertical pillar of gold. Her companion's hat almost flew off of his head. At the last possible moment, he pulled up. The girl's heart dropped to her stomach as they soared through the air. The city slowly faded away below them. Within a few minutes, it was nothing more than a small cluster of lights. Her grip tightened around the magical being, but not out of fear. Casey loved the feeling of flying.

As they picked up speed, she recognized the familiar rushing of stars as they ascended. The roaring of the wind blasted in her ears like the howling of some kind of monster. It soon got to the point where she wanted to cover her ears, but knew that if she let go then she would fall. They were now going so fast that the stars were just a white blur, there seemed to be no empty space between. "Close your eyes!" Her friend shouted. His voice could barely be heard over the screaming of the air. Nodding slightly, Casey squeezed her eyes shut. This was her least favorite part of the flight, The Flash. At least, that's what the teen called it.

From what she had heard, no human should ever see it. It was like a sonic blast of light that was more intense than the sun. Under her eyelids, the girl could see a bright burst of red light. An intense heat washed over her, almost hot enough to physically burn her. But as suddenly as it had come, the Flash ended. A constant ringing sounded in her ears as they slowed down. Blinking a few times, it took a while for her blue eyes to adjust.

It was morning; the sun was just coming up over the ocean. The sparkling blue and green waters housed playful dolphins that jumped up every few seconds. In the center of the deep sea sat an island. The small fortress of land looked as though a large sea monster had taken several bites out if the edges in a crude attempt to make a 6 pointed star. Its many bays opened their mouths to the ocean. The tall cone of an old volcano sat in the center. Green forests covered almost every meter of the island. Mountain ranges traced the outline of the land. As the two descended towards the forest, Casey could make out a pirate ship in the cove. Its magnificent white sails were lowered so that they did not pull the vessel away from its anchor. The polished surface of the decks held several pirates. All filthy and muscled in ways that shouldn't be humanly possible. A figure clad in red could be seen near the helm. He seemed to be staring up at them.

The boy whisked them past the cove and towards an old tree near the volcano. Vines and moss covered the surface of the plant, acting as a natural camouflage. Touching down onto the ground, he gently placed Casey on her feet and winked. Clearing his throat, the boy deepened his voice to resemble a grown man's. "Here it is, Smee! Peter's hideout! We've finally found it, and I shall claim it for my own!" Almost immediately, a group of boys tumbled out of several rotted cavities and knotholes. They all brandished different sorts of melee weapons; ranging from slingshots to clubs with rusted nails in them. The small crowd howled like Indians, looking around for a certain pirate and his men. Spotting the teenager, the boys all lowered their weapons.

"God, Peter!" A boy with curly brown hair spoke up. He was a bit on the large side, and wore a stained cotton shirt and torn slacks. A wooden club sat in his hand; its rounded tip almost touched the ground. His large hazel eyes barely peeked out under his chubby cheeks. He couldn't have been older than 10.”Don't scare us like that!"

Casey couldn't contain her laughter. Doubling over, she clutched her stomach and burst into a silent giggle fit. A few strands of blond hair fell into her face as she did so. The teenager, Peter, chuckled lightly.

As if just realizing she was there, the other boys crowded around her. Suddenly surrounded by the Lost Boys, the girl tried to keep up with all of the different conversations that they sparked up. The voices seemed to buzz around here; they were talking all at once. Save a small 6 year old with jet black hair, as he was mute and had never talked a day in his life. But the silent boy was tugging on the sleeve of her jacket, quietly asking for her attention.

"Where have you been?" "Why did you leave?" "Can I show you this cool trick later?" "Casey, did you bring me anything?" By the time Peter whistled and told them all to shut up, the girl's head was already swimming from the attention. At home and at school, she was always ignored or teased for being strange. She had no friends there, and tended to play by herself at recess. But here, in Neverland, Casey was never left alone. She always had someone to talk to or something to do. The perks of being the only Lost Girl. She wished that she could stay there forever. Unfortunately, that was impossible.

For some reason, the island didn't allow her to stay for more than a week at a time. Luckily, that was the equivalent of one night back home, so there was rarely any hassle or calling of the authorities by her parents. Only a few times her mother had noticed that Casey wasn't nearby; and had finished filling in a missing persons report by the time she got back. But, in order to "recharge" enough to be able to return, the girl had to spend a normal week in her world. So, her time in Neverland never seemed to be enough. This had been going on for the last 2 years, after Peter had somehow found her trying to run away from home. And the others didn't seem to have aged a day.

"Alright!" Pan shouted. The remaining murmurs from the boys died down immediately. Compared to the other Lost Boys, Peter was by far the oldest. He towered over the rest of them. The closest one to his age was probably Slightly. The boy was around 13 with bright yellow hair that seemed almost unnatural. His yellowish brown eyes and scrunched up face gave him the appearance of a fox. Slightly almost matched Peter in height as well.

"We'll have time to catch up with our friend later." The leader announced. His right hand rested itself on the hilt of a dagger. The weapon lay in a leather sheath that was strapped to his waist. "The old Codfish had found his treasure again! And we need to steal it back." The rest of the boys cheered, waving their makeshift weapons in the air. Casey couldn't help but smile. This time, Peter had promised that she would be able to join in. This was going to be great.

Idea: Kyne of Zestia

Summary:
Kyne is an alien from planet Zestia, which is very similar to Earth but is a bit ahead in technology. On Zestia, there are monsters called Jaaku. There are 3 different levels of Jaaku.

-Level 1 Jaaku, which are the easiest to kill. However, they can only be killed by wood.
-Level 2 Jaaku, which are a bit harder to kill. They can only be killed by either steel or iron.
-Level 3 Jaaku cannot be killed. If they can, the Zestians have not found a way in the thousands of years they had inhabited the planet.

Kyne and other children are sent to Earth to escape the Jaaku, but are somehow followed. Each group of children has a caretaker, who have been to Earth before and are there to keep the children safe from harm. Over the years, Kyne loses her group and caretaker, Mikal.

Living alone, she saves humans Daniel and Jenny Thompson from a level 1 Jaaku. Allowing them to live in her base, Kyne goes around killing every Jaaku she comes across. Or at least tries to.

Jenny somehow gets killed by a Level 3 Jaaku, and the two teens have to flee. Kyne agrees to train Daniel so that they can find a way to kill the Level 3 and get revenge.

Characters:
Name: Kyne (takes on the surname Mikal out of respect for her caretaker)

Physical Traits: Long/straight midnight blue hair. On Zestia, all people have colorful hair and normal human colors such as brown, black, and blonde are uncommon. Silver eyes with flecks of emerald green. 5'6 , thin and strong.
Personality: Is very cold and tends to shut herself away from any emotion since she lost her friends. Kyne has a kind heart, but shows it in strange ways. If reminded of her past, however, Kyne is more prone to show emotions such as anger and sadness.

     Name: Daniel Thompson
     Age: 16
Physical Traits: Short brown hair. Blue eyes with brown flecks. 5'8, a bit on the muscular side,  but still thin and long-limped. Kind of awkward with his movements.
Personality: He is a very open person about his emotions, the exact opposite of current-day Kyne. Daniel tends to also act on his emotions without thinking much about the consequences. The human cares a lot about his younger sister, and his actions are mostly based around her safety.
